Jaclyn Hill x Morphe – 1st Impression

While everyone’s out partying, I’m here finally playing with the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette. First impression? I LOVE it. Every color I used was pigmented & blended well. I do notice slightly better formula as far as the mattes go. They’re definitely less powdery than the regular formula.

I would’ve liked to have seen a matte nude color to use as base color of the lid, but I used the mac soft ochre paint pot & set it with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder to cancel out the darkness & veins in my lids. Other than that, I think it’s a stand alone palette.

It’s also a very versatile, in that while it does have some warm shades that the beauty industry has been drowning us in lately, it has some fantastic pops of color, as well as shadows with cool & neutral undertones which almost certainly guarantees you the ability to create an endless amount of looks with it.

I know Morphe has gotten a lot of flack lately as far as their business practices, affiliate codes & influencers go, but I pay for my own Morphe products & I love them. I am not an affiliate. I don’t have a code. I have never gotten anything for free. I still love this palette.

I ordered an extra palette for a giveaway that I am putting together (along with one of the new Urban Decay Naked Heat palettes), I’m just waiting for some other items to arrive. The giveaway will be taking place on my instagram, so head over to @Makeup_by_Mala & follow me so you know when it starts. (I do follow back beauty/skincare related accounts.)

Here’s the finished eye look, complete with false lashes for once!
